Mary Hufty’s Positions

As a member of the town council, Mary will:

1. Respect and implement our General Plan, not undermine it.
2. Prioritize safety over development, and that means both wildfire and seismic safety.
3. Promote equitable affordable housing in a non-urban setting.  The answer to our Town’s and Region’s housing needs is not the urbanization of Portola Valley.
4. Bring transparent participation and public integrity to our Town Council and all of our appointed committees and departments.
5. Protect, preserve and encourage healthy, safe open space and wildlife habitat.
